Dog Days of Summer: Songbirds

Perhaps it’s not surprising that we have birds. You see birds all over the store. Pictures of birds, birds on china, birds on glassware.

We’ve already posted about the barnyard birds–the chickens, pheasants, turkeys and ducks that people raise. Today, it’s wild birds, mostly small songbirds.

About time, you say? We’ve been posting about our Dog Days of Summer Sale and Benefit for two weeks now, and still no dogs. Today, we go to the dogs, and we will again before the sale. We have a LOT of dogs in the store. (We counted liberally.) Wouldn’t have thought it, without counting. Betty Dunham, our resident artist, helped a lot. She paints dogs.
