Sallie posted a pin about making fairy gardens in suitcases on her personal Pinterest account two weeks ago, and the repins haven’t stopped.
The pin itself came from the Empress of Dirt, who does business on eBay. She has a great tutorial about building fairy gardens.
We have supplies, right here in Raleigh. And suitcases, by the way, as well as lots of other containers for your very own fairy garden. How about a garden in a birdcage?
Here are some more ideas for building fairy gardens, from Pinterest. We’ve added more pins about the miniature garden supplies we carry to our own In The Garden board on the Affordable Chic Pinterest account.
Come by and walk through our garden spot. What we have outside changes all the time. Much of the art and furniture is unique; don’t let it linger!
Lots of seating, furnishings, and fancy bits to train a flowering vine on:
We can’t even begin to promise that a concrete guard bunny will keep the furry, fluffy, HUNGRY real bunnies out of your lettuce. But it is a pleasant fairy tale to imagine…
And if the bunny doesn’t work, you could always try a scarecat:
Affordable Chic: protecting all forms of your lettuce, and making your home look great all the while!
There are some people who would look at this red bicycle plant stand and say, “I can do that. I have an old bicycle the kids don’t ride anymore…” To you, we say, “Take a look at the Amy Howard At Home spray lacquer! We have exactly what you need.”
For everyone else, we have a charming red bicycle plant stand. Wouldn’t this look wonderful at the edge of the patio? You could replace one of the pots with a bucket of ice for a party, too.
